World of Excuses, population: YOU.

Alright, its been sort of a weird weekend- so I will apologize in advance for my lack of blogging. But right now, I feel like I need to have a little rant.

Okay, so you all know I have been working pretty hard to change my lifestyle? Yes, I eat around 900-1200 calories a day and I exercise. I am implementing healthy habits and I have been seeing results. Also- part of my diet has included a protein meal replacement shake that I am now a distributor of, because it makes my meals easier, less expensive, and it works for me…right? No secret.

Welllllllll- since I have been doing this, I have found that I am inspiring a lot of people to do the same. They are making changes, and succeeding. (I am SOOOO proud of all of you!) I have also been hearing from a lot of people that want to make a change- talk to me about it, and then give me excuses…
Let me tell you this- there is NO MAGIC SECRET to losing weight. You lose weight by a reduced-calorie diet & exercise. I KNOW it is hard to make changes, believe me, I KNOW first hand! I love helping people, but I can’t do it for them. You have to want to do this for YOU.

TRUTH: If you would have done something about it the first time you asked me, you would be a whole lot closer to your goals by now! Seriously, I have lost 20 lbs since the first time you asked me about it.

The Body by Vi Challenge- is a CHALLENGE! You are challenging yourself to live a healthier lifestyle and it is an easy way for me to coach people into having a well-balanced, nutritious diet (on a budget) and its easy to prepare meals. The company makes it affordable by offering shake options that are less than half the price of competitors AND there is compensation of getting FREE shakes for referrals! So, the inevitable is: if you would like to lose weight and get healthy- you don’t have to take shakes, but you do have to watch what you eat and have an active lifestyle. I, personally, am way too lazy a cook to prepare 3 healthy meals a day and snacks…so the convenience of shakes works for me, plus I get them free anyways.

To the people with excuses- I have been “you” before! I know that we all want someone to tell us that there is a magic pill that can make it so we can eat donuts all day long and have abs like Kate Hudson. But, “fat burners” just make you “not hungry” so you eat “less food” and “have more energy” from “ingredients” that will probably give you “heart murmurs.”

But if you need help or a workout buddy…I am here for you when you are ready.

And to my sexy, amazing, perfect husband who has been going to the gym at 5:00 am every morning: I am sooooo proud of you, and thank you for joining me in making our home a healthier one. I love you.

  1. This blog caught my eye because of the picture. The abs are really appealing and it catches the audiences attention. I was interested in this article because I enjoy working out. I am currently trying to eat better and work out daily. I am one of these people who has made excuse on why I shouldn’t work out. After reading this blog post, I am more interested in getting back to the gym.

    • Yayyy! You will kick ass with motivation- do the things you ‘like’ doing and it makes it less painful. I actually like lifting weights- which is why a majority of my exercise is Les Mills Pump. I don’t like being cold outside or getting ready to go to the gym…so I work out in my living room.

To each his own. Thank you for your reply and I would love to hear how your progress is going. :-)
