Tea Time // Klutch Club // & Remember to Take Care of Yourself

Hello there, whoever you are…

This time last year I was newly engaged, living in a crappy apartment, and not taking care of myself. During my “fat & happy” way of living, I honestly think I did some damage that is much more difficult to repair than ever before. Although we are really only talking about an 18 pound fluctuation, when I think about actually feeling difficulty to breathe at times (nothing serious, just comparatively) and that I could barely get on any of my jeans…uh wow, I can’t believe I didn’t even realize what I was doing to my body! And on the other extreme- Two years before that, I was on the HCG diet. I consumed barely 500 calories a day- strict diet regimen, which completely depleted my lean muscle mass and destroyed my metabolism…but I was the thinnest I have ever been. I guess what I am trying to get at, is that finding a lifestyle that works for you is difficult. You won’t always be young, and yo yo-ing is never going to be good for your body. I have things about my body that I hope will improve and look better over time, but all we can really do is take good care of ourselves, and I am so thankful that I am doing this while I am still relatively young.

Okay, blah blah blah, I need to tell you about my new favorite tea: after hot yoga today, I walked my sweat-drenched, disgusting self into Whole Foods to pick out a new tea… I came across the “Be Active Teas” which have a variety of flavors/proclaimed benefits for each flavor. I ended up with the “Get Burning” which is supposed to have herbs that help supplement your metabolism. I was looking at the ingredients and the cinnamon/chilli stood out to me- and I am glad I tried it because it is deliciously spicy!! New fave.

Next new fun thing is this program I heard of called “Klutch Club” basically it is a like a Birch Box for health nuts. For $18/mo, they send you a box of health-goodies! So much fun–I will let you know how it goes. You can then go online and rate the products they send you for points that go towards purchasing the products, if you want.
